Caretaking is hard. I know the people in my life didn’t seem to understand that caretaking and parenting are two different jobs and I was doing both. A single mom cannot provide 24/7 care especially when raising four children, but I did for many years. It’s so hard and I hear you. Sometimes people wouldn’t help because “you’re his mother you have to learn to manage him.” Sigh.
