I had been involved in a bunch of cults well before my twenty-first birthday.

I came by it honestly, as I was born into such an environment and cults and the 1980’s seemed to fit together like a hand in a glove.

Although I was born and raised in Australia, most of the cult activity I was involved in, or at least anything masquerading as Christian, was brought to Australia by American missionaries and were American movements.

So when I came to the United States of America for marriage, it ws life as usual but in a different place.

Cults are becoming more commonly recognized these days, which is a positive thing, although there are still so many victims, perhaps more now than ever.

I’m always fascinated by the people who weren’t born and raised in such environments can get sucked into a cult, but it’s becoming common.

My cult involvement has been intense, and as I’ve read and studied more, I’ve been able to see behavioral patterns, both individual and organizational that contribute to building a cult.

Most people by now have heard of come of the more well-known cults such as Charles Manson’s cult, NXIVM, Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (FLDS), Young Living, Scientology, QAnon, and the Mafia…
