dignifying death

It disturbs me how death has been reduced in many so-called civilized countries to a clinical process. I don’t care how evil a person may have been, they deserve dignity in death. The funeral industry has contributed to people being more afraid of death because the reality is that all of us will die one day.

Death is a passage into eternity, a journey we all take. Right now we are all mortals living together on this giant ball. One day, after death, we become immortal. I still am not sure if I believe in heaven, but I believe that there are things that are sacred and holy, and things that are evil. If heaven exists, I surely hope that everyone makes it in the end.

It’s really fucked up that death is a way to make big bucks. There are so many beautiful customs in other parts of the world that dignify death. Many cultures show such love and care for their dead. I find the idea of capitalizing on death to be horrific and immoral.
