For me, asking to connect on CashApp while panhandling is the problem. I give cash or a burger to people, I have been homeless and desperate, but the CashApp thing sounds like it’s an organized scam. I’m sorry people took advantage of you. If they are truly in poverty, it’s a cycle and $20 will get them food that day but won’t help fix the deeper problem. They will, however, eat that day. But I doubt these people are homeless. Not if they are wanting to use CashApp.
