Generative AI is an Assault on Our Collective Humanity
At it’s core, artificial intelligence is anti-life
Looking at current events, I tend to find anything that Elon Musk has invested in to be something best avoided. The first hint wasn’t even the fact that he’s actively involved in a coup, it was that he was a billionaire.
The richest man in the world has managed to hoard money and resources via exploitation and a lust for power so strong that he will do anything to gain even more wealth despite the fact that he’s hoarded far more than his fair share already.
Those who have read my work for any amount of time know my unapologetic, hard-core stance on billionaries. There are a grand total of zero ethical billionaries. It’s not possible to collect that much wealth in a way that respects the dignity and humanity of all.
Elon Musk has been trying to buy up other generative AI programs so that again, he will have the monopoly on some new tech. That right there is enough for me to steer clear of it and ought to be enough for everyone else too, but apparently it’s not.
He’s far from the only issue with artificial intelligence technology, though. There’s also the fact that it steals from artists and writers, it harms the environment, and it contributes to misinformation.
