Hi Jeff

There doesn’t have to be as much conflict as there is. Christians should stop trying to legislate their own morality and it wouldn’t be as bad.

I don’t expect anyone against abortion to want one, but I don’t want my daughter to die from a miscarriage because to remove the dead fetus would be considered an abortion. If a Christian woman chooses to not have that surgery in that situation because of her beliefs then I can respect that, but I don’t want it dictated for my daughter.

Marriage in the Old Testament wasn’t one man and one woman, so when we talk about Biblical marriage we need to talk about it all to be able to draw any real conclusions.

If Christians live their beliefs and values without trying to force those things on everyone else, we could all get along much better. It wouldn’t be perfect of course but if those of us who claim to follow Jesus did it right, we’d be loving our neighbor.

I have no interest in being the kind of “Biblical Christian” that you describe, but I am interested in following Jesus. I ditched the “Biblical Christian” thing about a decade ago now and it’s much easier for me to follow Jesus without it.

Peace and blessings.
