I absolutely disagree with the "we are all good people" thing, because the anti-queer propoganda, to use one example, has people pulling guns on my 16-year-old transgender daughter. That kind of hate doesn't come from "good people."

The rest of this story is pretty good. When I was in undergraduate college journalism classes in the early 2000's, we were still taught to be careful to eliminate bias, and our grades depended on it, but it doesn't seem like that's taught as much these days.

I don't mind biased sources if they are clear about their bias and the piece is an opinion piece, a feature article, etc. Those I expect to have a clear bias.
