I’ve held off writing about the faery world for a long time, because I know that some people are adamantly against the idea that the faery realm exists. However, I’ve been called to tell the truth, and so I tell the truth as it is for me.

Besides, if David Bentley Hart, a well respected theologian can write a book and talk about faeries and a psychic dog named Roland titled “Roland In Moonlight” while still being respected, I ought to be able to do so also.

One of the things I do find silly is that people (such as Theresa Bane and Alexandra Rowland) believe that faeries can be studied via academia. I don’t see that as really possible. Some things in life are just a mystery, and it’s that way by design.

I’m not really interested in any academic study of the faeries. I see what I see, and studying faeries academically seems a little out there even to me.

My aim here is to simply describe how I see faery life and how I believe it does not in any way go against Christian thought. I’m not concerned with who believes in faeries and who does not.

As I sat outside in my Mary garden at 6:00 in the evening and it was still almost a hundred degrees outside, I began to scribble down some thoughts about faeries…
