I do meditate on death as far as memento mori but I don’t worry about death. I deal with death as someone who helps the dead, but yeah, if we worry about it then it takes away from living.

I have a friend your age. He is very energetic and is busy and does more things than I ever could because of my disabilities. He will, however, smile and use his age as an excuse for not doing something. “Oh, I’m going to eat what I want to eat. I’m an old man who has lived a good life and I’m going to live a good life to the end and enjoy my food.”

He’s great I love him.
