I don't read a lot of that kind of stuff either. I'll read a good personal essay over 7 minutes long if it's a person I normally read and I know their essays are excellent.

I don't read tech articles, I don't read fiction on Medium, I don't read posts about how much money people made last month, I don't usually read things about television shows or movies because I don't know much about them, etc.

I do read memoir and personal essays but I often skip ones about people's love lives. I'm aromantic and asexual, people's love lives are boring.
