I have been on a jury, it was a rape case. I did ask to be excused the last two times because I had nobody to care for my kids, one who is severely disabled, and the next because my mental health was not good enough and my therapist wrote a note saying as much. Otherwise I'd have no problem doing it again even when it is hard. It's an important job.
