I tried to get my kids to believe but they never did. It might be an autism thing. What I don’t appreciate is parents that flip their shit if my kids say Santa isn’t real. My kid doesn’t believe, theirs does. Same concept as believing in God.
My kids are free to talk about their beliefs and opinions. So are other kids. I’ve never actually heard of a kid who doesn’t believe anymore just because a kid who doesn’t believe said something.
If your kids trust you they will believe you despite what my kid says. Either way I won’t attempt to censor mine. Kids discuss things all the time. They have differing beliefs and opinions just like adults do.
Kids will be kids. What are these parents so scared about? I don’t flip out and throw a fit when someone’s kid tells mine God isn’t real, so I expect a grown ass adult not to flip their shit over Santa.
