I’m a Christian and I think that all Christians need to take a good look in the mirror. If we did, we would not ask these questions.
I will say that many Christians that I know personally are very LGBTQ affirming, are pro-choice, and don’t want our beliefs made into law but actively fight against it.
That said, most are non affirming, “pro-life,” and nationalists, and so I expect that unless someone asks or gets to know me, that they might think I am too.
It’s our reputation for good reason. Some people like myself are calling on Christianity to repent and reform, starting with ourselves and our attitudes.
The whole “they aren’t real Christians” is ridiculous. If a person says they are a Christian then they are a Christian. I can argue perhaps that I don’t believe they are acting in a Christ like manner, but they are Christians all the same. I wish people understood this.
