I'm a committed Christian and I agree with you. I don't make my children go to church, and they appreciate that. My priest is glad I don't force them to go to church. My children are also LGBTQ+, and it's ridiculous the amount of people that believe that I "forced" my oldest to be transgender.
They believe that I wanted another girl and so I turned her into a girl. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of but this is Mississippi and this state isn't known for an educated population.
I love my children and I don't see them as my possessions. They are their own person and I owe it to them to give them the freedom to figure out what they believe, and who they are. I'm glad they are not me or carbon copies of me.
