I’m a huge advocate for nonviolence but what that guy said about apologies is crap.

I hate parents forcing their kids to apologize, because most often, the kid isn’t sorry, or at least isn’t sorry yet. They often will be when they’ve had time to think. We are teaching them in those moments to lie so they can appease an angry adult, making apologies meaningless.
