I'm sorry it was rough. I grew up in Australia and wanted to go to boarding school so bad. I knew I risked being treated badly, but it would be better than the immense abuse I suffered at home. I had some romanticized ideas of if thanks to Enid Blyton, but still there's no way in hell boarding school wouldn't have been better than the life I had. I am sorry it wasn't a great experience for you.
