I’ve found Substack difficult to use but my biggest beef isn’t financial, it’s that it’s policies have allowed transphobic bullies to get out of hand. Many LGBTQ people have found the platform unsafe because of the lengths Substack will go to protect the bigots. That’s a problem for me. Even from an audience perspective. I don’t need to be on a platform that hurts more than half my current audience.
