Reader favorites are vastly different from writer favorites

I only began writing on Medium full-time since mid-August, and during that time I’ve written a vast variety of articles, learning which of my stories people like to read and which they pass on.

It turns out, like many other writers have discovered also, that my favorite stories aren’t your favorite stories.

The favorite stories of mine that I have written are stories I’d really dig if other people wrote them, meaning I like to write stories I want to read. I want to read high-intensity, unusual, edgy, true stories.

I’m going to list six reader favorites, and six author favorites from 2022.
