My kids are going to be learning a lot about climate change, the Amazon rainforest (and it's immense importance), in homeschool next year. They are going to have projects to do that lead them to make a change in the way we live.

I've told my kids that I really don't want grandchildren. I know they will do what they want, but the reality is that there are so many genetic problems in the family, and I don't want grandchildren brought into the world the way it is now. It will cause great sorrow. None of my children are actually inclined to have kids at the moment.

I'm trying to encourage them to become more minimalist in what they own, especially with clothing. To buy enough clothes that they like and to wear them over and over again, without collecting new clothes just for the sake of fashion.

It won't be perfect, but I want to teach them to think.
