Once I left fundamentalism and realized that there was no such thing as a rapture, it felt great. And then COVID came along and for a month or so the “but what if it actually was true” thoughts came and my therapist worked me through it and my psychiatrist gave me emergency anxiety meds. Thankfully I got through it relatively quickly. I’m glad my kids have never heard about a rapture.
