Mother Mary,

I commit myself today and always to you, trusting you to continue to lead me to your Son.

Thank-you for all the things that you have done for me.

Please forgive my previous contempt for you.

Mary, your holiness and immaculate conception broke the pattern of original sin set in motion by our mother Eve. I’m thankful for your willingness to consent to conceiving a child by the Holy Spirit. You obeyed the Father’s call on your life and you accepted the sufferings and sorrows you would endure, even though you did not understand them at the time. You are a pure and beautiful example to those of us who have come behind you, and you graciously show us your Son, Jesus, and share him with us.

I renounce Satan, whose head you will crush with your heel, and all the spiritual forces of wickedness which rebel against God, knowing that they have already been defeated.

I renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God, who I previously served, and embrace Jesus Christ fully and completely, trusting you to show me the way.

I renounce all sinful desires that draw me, and attempt to draw me, every single day, from the love of God. I draw close to you and to Jesus so that I will have less desire for the sinful things that draw me away from Jesus.

I accept that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father, and I put my trust in his and your grace and love. I promise to follow and obey Jesus as my Lord, and revere you as the Queen of Heaven.

I will continue in spiritual disciplines, practices, prayers, in receiving the body and blood of your Son my Savior Jesus Christ, in prayer, and in turning to you and ultimately to Jesus for my transformation.

I will persevere in resisting evil, so that in the end, having done all, I may be still standing, clothed in the armor of God, faithful in battle. I will continue to repent and renounce my ways when I fall into sin, and will return to Jesus and the Church, and to you.

I will proclaim, with my life, the Gospel, the incarnation of your precious Son, baptism for the remission of sins.

I will strive to live a holy life in an unholy world, and beg your help, that I may never go back to the practice of evil, that my thirst for such things be satisfied in Jesus.

I will continue in sharing and praying your rosary with anyone who will listen to me, teaching them to pray it, so that they may develop more fully a relationship with you and in doing so, a relationship with Jesus, whose story the rosary tells.

I commit to love you and I give to you anything useful in my life for you to take and give to Jesus. I trust you with what you choose to do with it. Thank-you for your help in getting me to see the light of Christ. Grant me the grace of conversion in life with your Son, that I may love him and follow him fully and completely, and continue the transformation he has begun in my life.

Love,

MaryClare
