Some Things This Millennial Would Like Boomers to Consider

We aren’t the enemy and we didn’t destroy the country

First off, yes, I understand, #NotAllBoomers.

There does not have to be a generation war if we can come together and communicate. In my experience, and the experience of my Millennial friends, there are some things that have been said and done to us by Boomers that are hurtful.

Pointing that out sadly causes some Boomers to cry “ageism.” I know someone that did this to me every time I tried to call him on his shit. He was once a friend of mine. I know Boomers can be amazing, thinking, wonderful people, because some of my favorite people and friends are Boomers.

I’ve read several articles on Medium lately where Boomers are addressing Millennials, some are very good, and some are insulting. I have enjoyed the good ones and primarily ignored the latter.

I expect that the people in the Boomer generation who are awesome would be interested to see my perspective, and that those who aren’t quite as awesome at least have something to be mad about.
