Sometimes commercial publishers get things wrong. When I was into horror, the best horror novels were the indie published ones.

Then they publish shit like "Fifty Shades of Gray" and Rachel Hollis plagiarised her books. So just because something is traditionally published doesn't mean it's any good or that it's legitimate and trustworthy.

There are excellent books out there, some traditionally published and some self published. What's important is that there are good books.
