The Best of March 2023
Keeping up with personal shit and my favorite stories
Often for me, my best performing stories are ones I wrote in a hurry so I had something to publish, the ones I didn’t put as much thought into, and in a lot of ways that’s a frustration to me. I don’t necessarily think that the stories that make the most money or have the most views are my best ones.
March was painful as far as writing goes, and I’ve been struggling a little with my depression, which is never any fun.
I’m hoping that my reading list for April helps me write some great stories, as reading and writing are deeply intertwined for me. Creative nonfiction is my favorite genre to both read and write, and it’s what I went to graduate school for.
It seems that it’s not everyone else’s favorite genre to read and write, or maybe I’m losing my edge. Perhaps I’m doing what I was always afraid of and becoming boring. That’s one of my biggest fears for my life in general.
The first article I’m featuring for the best of March is a story that I had to yank from a publication because they attacked my character stating I was giving misleading information.
