The first time I went into labor I thought the cramps were from the jambalaya I’d had for dinner since it was spicy and I had never had jambalaya before. So when I woke up cramping I said “damn that spicy rice.” I remembered there was an eclipse so I went outside to look, hoping standing would make me feel better. 22 hours later and baby was in my arms.
