These are mostly good points. Mary Magdalene is my patron. It makes me sad and mad when people try to erase the traditional narrative of the sinful woman. She was possessed with seven demons which means she was troubled and had a hard life. That's consistent with the traditional narrative.

There are two different incidences of women washing Jesus' feet, one is Mary Magdalene, who loved Jesus and was doing it out of pure love, and Mary of Bethany who did it to show the death and burial. The two stories are quite different if you look at both of them side by side.

I'm pissed that people are so willing to write off her story like there's something wrong with it. Why wouldn't people want to be happy for how much Jesus healed her and her love in response. And what's so bad about her being a sex worker, unless we still hae disdain for sex workers and don't want to admit it...
