What’s gross is that your people actually think they have the right to intimidate women. Adoption is often a terrible option. But pro life is a death cult that cares about the unborn only.
Most appear fine with capital punishment, keeping guns, war, military service, most were the ones refusing to follow COVID restrictions…most don’t care about life, they care about the unborn only. It goes no further. It looks pious on the surface.
My father is very publicly pro life. My father obtained three on the verge of illegal or just over the line abortions for me. Can’t have people knowing you’ve been raping your daughter, after all. I was eleven, twelve, and thirteen. He’s such a hypocrite. I know of others in similar situations.
My father is a “deacon” in his church. A good, Christian man. Well respected. He would join you outside the clinic. He used military style torture on me (water boarding). But thankfully I’m away from him.
There’s so much to unpack. But I long ago stopped believing being against abortion had anything to do with life. It’s about control of conservative Christian men over women.
I’m not fond of public prayer like that, but if people want to make a spectacle of themselves with it, then whatever. I’m used to praying privately and apart from reading the prayers at church am afraid of praying publicly. But I absolutely am against intimidation tactics and do no respect people who think it’s their right to do that.
Regardless of what anyone believes, I as a Christian and it seems you are a Christian too, neither of us have the right to force our beliefs on society or legislate them.
