Yes, the very phrase “trigger warning” is just a trigger for me. I hate using that word in any context except for a weapon.

“Content warning” I can handle if it’s truly warranted like something severe, but not simply for “self harm” or whatever. 99% of the time they aren’t needed.

I have a story that I’m still going back and forth on about whether it needs a content warning, but it’s about being the victim of child p*rn which I only don’t spell out because it gets dinged. Even then, I’m not sure. It’s not like I describe any acts.

The flounder…think sex worker. If you don’t know then you don’t know. :)
