You do realize all those groups are cults, right? Or are you part of those groups? This piece sounds like an apologetic so I wonder your connection with them. They are cults have have hurt many, many people.

How did you decide on who you believed? Did you believe the parents automatically because they sounded nice or were Baptists or was there something that made them credible (I actually am curious).

My parents would feed you all this same crap you were fed, and it would be lies. They'd be super convicing and you would think they were such nice people.

Your first hint was that she was diagnosed with PTSD and they wanted to get her off her meds. That makes them lose credibility with me immediatly. I don't know enough but that and the curriculums they used, there was at least a heavy cultish influence, and multiple personalities do exist. It's called Dissociative Identity Disorder and I live with it.
