Your essays are always good and thought provoking. My main read for Advent is a social justice book that talks about Palestine then and now, and how there has always been oppression there.

Bethlehem certainly shouldn’t be romanticized and honestly I don’t think it was probably a great place to be back then either, because the Holy Family fled to Egypt as refugees
